SAFETY 1ST CONSULTANCY was established by Jackie Hughes in 1999 to help meet the demand from East Kilbride businesses for competitively priced Health and Safety services — especially training.
Jackie has developed and supplies a number of safety courses including the IOSH accredited courses Working Safely and Managing Safely and the NEBOSH certificate course.

Jackie is an experienced lecturer and delivers courses on behalf of several Glasgow colleges including Stow College.
She said: “I always try to make my lectures or presentations as relevant as possible. I don’t believe in simply standing up and telling people what they should do — I believe it should be interactive.”
This approach has been particularly popular with businesses and colleges.
